2025-2026 Season Details

*** REGISTRATION FOR 2025-2026 SEASON WILL BE OPEN 10/01/2025. DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING INTEREST AND LIMITED SPACE WE HAVE HAD TO MAKE THE DECISION TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS TO 80.

LEVEL 1 WILL FOCUS ON THE MOST BASIC FUNDAMENTALS:

INTENDED FOR KIDS WITH 0-2 YEARS EXPERIENCE. CAN GO INTO 3RD YEAR DEPENDING ON PROGRESSION

BODY CONTROL, GYMNASTICS, TOTAL BODY STRENGTH, STRONG STANCE

TECHNIQUES ARE LIMITED TO LEVEL CHANGE FOR LEG ATTACKS, SINGLE LEGS, DOUBLE LEGS, DOWN BLOCKS, SPRAWL, STAND UPS, AND HALF NELSON. CAN TAKE THE LEVEL 2 TEST UPON REQUEST TO MOVE TO LEVEL 2.

LEVEL 2 FOCUS ON PROGRESSION:

INTENDED FOR KIDS WITH 3+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND CAN PERFORM ALL SKILLS FROM LEVEL 1 CHECKLIST WITH EFFICIENCY

CONTINUED FOCUS ON BODY CONTROL, STRENGTH, CONDITIONING. ADDING IN LIVE SITUATIONS, AND MORE ADVANCED TECHNIQUES.

Post season camp to qualify for Youth State will follow 03/01/2025-03/30/2025.

LEVEL 1 Monday & Wednesday 6-7P

LEVEL 2 Monday & Wednesday 6-7:30pm
Oconomowoc High School wrestlers & Staff will also lend a helping hand!

There are 3 choices for registration this year. Please choose the one that fits you best!

****For each choice you will need to purchase the USA Wrestling Membership to participate in practice.

**** Register before November 15th to receive T-shirt (and Singlet depending on selection). Registration will remain open after 11/15/2026 Until January 1, though will not be eligible for free shirt and singlet (if selected)

Option 1: (LEVEL 1 ONLY)

• Cost is $75 which includes:

  - Registration and a practice T-Shirt (Deadline to receive a shirt is November 14th)

  - Any registration after November 14th will not receive a free practice shirt.

  - Each wrestler will need to purchase a “Traditional Athlete” USA Wrestling Card in addition to registration in order to participate in practices. The Card can be purchased here: https://www.usawmembership.com/

  - ***Purchase a USA Wrestling Membership before registering for the club as you will need the Membership number to complete the registration process.

  - Please associate your wrestler to Oconomowoc Wrestling Club.
  ***This is required insurance separate from club dues.

  - Cost is $60 for USA Wrestling membership

  - Register and pay here. TeamSnap is our tool for posting events and communicating

Option 2: (LEVEL 2 ONLY)

• Cost is $100 which includes:

  Practices will run as follow:
  Wrestling Season:

  LEVEL 2: December 1, 2025 - February 28, 2026 6P-730P

  LEVEL 1: December 1, 2025 - February 28, 2026 6P-7P
  Tournaments on Saturday/Sunday (TBD)

  ***We plan on attending 3-4 local tournaments as a team including at least 1 Beginner tournament.

  *** If there is no Oconomowoc District School, there is no practice.*** We will be implementing make up days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  
  Parent meeting/in-person registration: one night only on TBA in the High School Cafeteria at Oconomowoc High School. You can also meet Head Coach Ben Altmann during this time.

ADDITIONALLY:

An online store will open November 5-15 to order singlets.

After you register:

Your wrestler(s) get a T-Shirt and singlet depending on your purchase. Please have your wrestler wear the T-Shirt to practice. Please consider purchasing a second set and any apparel to support our k-12 OCON Wrestling family. We will open the online store as the season starts. We will let you know as it only stays open for a week.
